Absolutely blew us away! The BBQ plate at Magic of the East was incredible perfectly grilled meats, tender and bursting with flavor, truly a highlight. And the shawarma? Flawless, easily some of the best in Ottawa. Everything was fresh, portions were generous, and the service was genuinely friendly and efficient. My husband and I just happened to come across this restaurant and we're sure happy we did! There is quite a bit of seating and it has a very laid back atmosphere. The staff is so friendly and the restaurant, a gem. We ordered a shawarma pizza and it was amazing! Lots of delicious meat and the crust was just perfect. Wish we lived closer to this restaurant so we could go back and try some of their other dishes.

We ordered 0.5 kg mix BBQ via food delivery. The food is tasty; however, we expected a bigger portion of meat. We probably misunderstood and thought the 0.5 kg was the weight of the BBQ meat itself, but it seems to be the total weight, mostly rice. It would also have been perfect if it included one or two veggies!

Just found out about this place, They had an amazing deal for a shawarma platter. Folks from Syria and Nigeria. AWESOME food. The special was enough for two people. Very grassroots type food. NoCoca-Cola though. Would eat again
